We spent a month in Germany when they had the 9 euro monthly DB pass. It was so nice not to have to think about how to pay for transit in each city we visited and we saved a ton of money! My first trip to Germany was the summer of the 9 euro pass -- it was amazing. They have another version now that's more of a monthly subscription. The seven day pass I got for Berlin was good value (49 euros) and gets me all the way out to Potsdam, which I think I will visit on Monday. Haven't checked out the bookstore but maybe we'll go there when Stephanie comes back with me sometime!
